Privacy and cookies
Affiliate links. This site contains affiliate links: if you buy through our links we may earn a commission from the store, at no extra cost to you.
Cookies. The site itself uses technical cookies (language, theme, consent preferences and your sign-in session). Every page also runs the TradeTracker tag, one of the affiliate networks we work with: it attributes purchases correctly and sets its own cookies under TradeTracker's policy. When you open a deal you are then redirected to the relevant network (Awin, TradeTracker or FinanceAds), which sets further tracking cookies on its own domains. Advertising is handled by Google, which collects your consent through its own panel before running.
Data we collect while browsing. No account is needed to use the site. If you do not sign in we collect no personally identifying data: we only count, in aggregate, how many times a deal is opened, with no link to an individual. In the same way we count how many pages are opened each day and from how many distinct devices: to tell them apart we compute a one-way code from your IP address and browser, together with a random value that changes every day. The IP address is never stored, the code cannot be traced back to you and is deleted within two days. This count uses no cookies and needs no consent, because nothing is read from or written to your device.
Parcel tracking. If you use the page to find out where your parcel is, the tracking number you enter is forwarded to Parcels (ParcelsApp), the provider that queries the couriers on our behalf, and the answer is shown to you. We do not keep that number: it is not stored anywhere, not linked to your account and not kept in our logs. To prevent abuse we count how many searches come from each connection, storing a fingerprint of the IP address that cannot be traced back to the original address, and we discard it after an hour.
Signing in with Google. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive and store three things from your Google account: your name, your email address and your profile picture. We never receive your password and have no access to Gmail, Drive, contacts or anything else: we request only the openid, email and profile scopes. Alongside these we store the deals you save, the votes you cast and the reviews you write.
Why, and for how long. Your name and picture show you who is signed in; your email identifies your account between visits. Your votes, anonymised and aggregated, form the rating shown on store pages. We do not use this data for advertising, and we neither share nor sell it. It is kept for as long as you keep the account.
Reviews. If you write a review, it becomes public together with your first name (never your surname), your profile picture, your rating and the date. It appears on the reviewed shop's page and may appear on the home page. You can edit or delete it at any time from your account area, and it is removed if you delete your account.
Deleting your account. You can delete your account at any time from your account area: the button permanently removes your profile, saved deals and votes, including the contribution your votes made to public ratings. No need to contact us, and no waiting period.
Where it is stored. Account data lives in a Redis database managed by Upstash, and the site is hosted on Vercel. Your session travels in an encrypted technical cookie, valid for 30 days, containing nothing beyond your sign-in details.
